En explorant les dynamiques de la peur, du courage et de la virilité, inhérentes à l’âge de l’adolescence, Vasterbro dépeint l’histoire d’un pari dangereux, initialement prévu pour intimider mais qui révèle au final les insécurités propres à chacun.

A summer afternoon in Stockholm – the casual risk-taking of three boys sneaking into the underside of a bridge becomes a test of their friendship, and ultimately, of their ability to cope with disaster. Exploring the dynamics of fear and masculinity inherent in the early adolescence of boys, ‘Vasterbro’ tells the story of a dare meant to intimidate and stoke insecurities taken seriously.

Director’s Bio

Né à Majorque en Espagne, d’un père anglais et d’une mère danoise, Stroud s’instilla au Danemark à l’âge de 19 ans dans le but d’étudier le Cinéma à l’European Film College, avant d’intégrer la National Film School de Copenhague, où il fut l’un des plus jeunes jamais admis. Son premier film, Vasterbro, a notamment pu être remarqué au festival de Paris Courts Devant.

Born and raised in Mallorca Spain of an english father and a danish mother, Stroud moved to Demark in the age of 19 in order to study cinema in European Film College and then later in the National Film School in Copenhagen. He has been one of the youngest to attend this film school. His first film Vasterbro had the chance to compete in Paris Court Devant film festival.
